Staring at her, Kate hesitates to speak.
[:02 PAUSE]
The dark-haired woman smiles and walks off.
[:02 PAUSE]
Kate watches her go.
[“HEY.”]
The woman stops and looks back.
[“DON’T TAKE THIS THE WRONG WAY BUT, I HOPE THAT I DON’T SEE YOU AGAIN.”]
Glancing away, she shows Kate a badge.
[“ME TOO.”]
She smiles, then continues down the sidewalk.
Shifting on her feet, Kate presses her lips together.
She stares after the woman, then turns away.
Her image blurs as she walks in the other direction.
